Wall Street Journal - Expect a Jolt When Opening the Electric Bill:

What can Solar mean for You?

How about advanced products that can reduce the energy we use?

And what about Wind?

As Green awareness has exploded in the past few years, so has technology!  We have found great new products and ideas to drastically reduce the energy we use, and also to produce new energy using what nature has given to us.

Check out our great list of products

Remember to check back regularly because we are always looking for new top quality products to make all of our lives cleaner and greener!

Although Solar Energy is still at the top of our list, energy conservation is critical.  We have products like LED and Induction lighting technology, double flush toilet retrofit kits, and wind energy in vertical wind turbines.

We also have technology that will take a big bite out of the total electricity you use, and we can not only make your air conditioner run colder and smoother and longer, but we can give you air conditioning that does not have to connect to your electric panel.

We can also improve your attic ventilation and give you natural daylight instead of electric lighting.

What does all of this mean?  For some people it defines Independence.  For others it is a feeling of comfort.  And for almost everyone, it helps the bottom line by saving money on those utility bills that just keep going up. See the article referenced above.

The Independence people get from Renewable and Efficient Energy means they do not have to rely on any utilities to live a comfortable life - living "off the Grid" without commercial power.  There are actually entire communities that have no electric lines and no gas lines.  These people brag about being able to see the stars at night and not the street lights.

About 180,000 homes, mostly in the west, operate off the grid, and the number of people going off the grid increases by about a third each year.

The feeling of comfort is when you can keep the temperature of your home or office at 75 degrees with solar heating and not worry about increasing your heating bill.  Or perhaps keeping the summer temperature much cooler with solar air conditioning.

And what about that bottom line?  The cost of utilities has risen sharply in the past five years, and most research shows that it will continue to go up because it has become more difficult for suppliers to find "cheap energy" as we used to know it.  Consequently, people are becoming more independent of the utility companies, and it's paying off as more homes and businesses are lowering or eliminating their utility bills.

Our goal is to reduce the numbers in this pie chart by 50% and more!

Check out this major project - Nevada Solar One.  It is the third largest solar power plant in the world, generating 64MW, as of June 2007, and is the second solar thermal power plant built in the United States in more than 16 years.  It covers 300 acres and contain 760 mirror arrays, each measuring about 100 meters. The total number of mirrors is approximately 184,000. The mirrors direct sunlight on an oil-filled tube. The oil is then used to create steam, which turns a turbine.

So what does all of this mean to you?  Once you have made a decision to lower your bills, help stop global warming, or become more energy efficient and independent, the next step is to determine how independent you want to be, and how much your residential or commercial structure and surrounding property will allow you to do.

Maybe a combination of systems will satisfy your requirements.  If you browse through our product list, you will see that there are many options, and very often these systems can be combined to give you more energy and comfort for less cost.
