An Air Conditioning / Refrigeration / Chiller treatment |
|
Hot Watt Solar announces the release a cost saving, revolutionary product that will counter ongoing increases in electricity costs, in the form of a patent-pending product called
Chillin/Cold-PlusTM, an Air Conditioning / Refrigeration / Chiller treatment that results in substantially lowered kilowatt usage, and commercial / residential utility savings. We guarantee a 10% reduction in the AC / Refrigeration electric bill, however, after hundreds of studies we find a reduction of 17% to 23%.
Our mission, with this fantastic product, is to reduce electrical consumption in thousands of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration systems, and Water Cooled / Air Cooled Chillers.
Chillin/Cold-PlusTM improves energy efficiency, increases life expectancy of AC / Refrigeration compressors, and Water Cooled and Air-Cooled Chillers, and reduces future repairs, ultimately resulting in lower utility bills and better operating A/C and Refrigeration systems.
With global warming upon us, record prices for crude oil well over the $100 per barrel mark, record high fuel costs at the pump, and private and public utilities continually being forced to raise their rates, the United States is unfortunately in the midst of an energy crisis.
Chillin/Cold-PlusTM will counter ongoing increases in electricity costs!

Our product - Chillin/Cold-PlusTM , a patent-pending refrigerant treatment that is compatible with all refrigerants and oils and is applied to compressors in air conditioning systems, refrigeration systems, and Chillers. Chillin/Cold-PlusTM, when introduced into the compressor by a licensed, qualified AC / Refrigeration technician, interacts with "Oil Fouling" in the copper tubing carrying the refrigerant, and then dissolving the "Oil Fouling", thus eliminating it and preventing it from every re-occurring.
Additionally, the Chillin/Cold-PlusTM coats the friction bearing compressor parts, as well as the pores and inner walls of the copper tubing and the evaporator and condenser coils, with a sub micron polymer that enables the flow rate of the refrigerant to dramatically increase. This increases the refrigerant cycles per hour.
When utilized exclusively in an AC system, such as in one’s home or business, energy savings can be easily achieved by 15%. When utilized commercially in businesses with both AC systems and Refrigeration systems at the same time, energy savings can be achieved in the 10% to 25% range. Businesses with large refrigeration systems can have utility bills in the range of $15,000-$40,000 per month. These businesses could be saving in the range of $4,000-$8,000 monthly. |

Chillin/Cold-PlusTM is a revolutionary new technology that improves refrigeration efficiency in multiple refrigeration applications, including air conditioning compressors, refrigeration compressors, and chillers.
Chillin/Cold-PlusTM is a refrigerant enhancer that improves efficiency without adding any chemically reacting or altering additives. The product improves the heat transfer on the refrigerant as well as increases refrigerant flow, and lowers the temperature of the refrigerant during its phase change from vapor to liquid to vapor.
Chillin/Cold-PlusTM bonds to the metal parts of the compressor, as well as the inner walls of the copper tubing, fusing sub-micron size polymers onto friction surfaces, ensuring more efficient, quieter operation.

New Unit Installation:
|
ETL Test Results on Chillin/Cold-PlusTM. ETL conducted testing on Chillin/Cold-PlusTM in a new 3 ton split unit on April 6-12 of 2007. The test protocol was to determine the EER rating with and without the Chillin/Cold-PlusTM treatment. |
|
The following were the test protocols:
|
Test results showed:
- A decrease in starting amperage
- A 3% reduction of operating amps
- A 3.3% increase in EER
- Substantial decrease in Subcool (>20%)
- Substantial increase in Superheat (>15%)
- Increase in Coolant Flow Rate (>2.5%)
- Increase in C1 Refrigerant of 3.9%

The test results showed that the addition of Chillin/Cold-PlusTM to a new unit has very beneficial results. In addition because the unit will cool the room faster you will also get significant reductions in running time and therefore reductions in KWH usage. The unit should last longer because the operating time per day is decreased.
The testing protocols prevented complete evaluation of the treatment by not allowing the unit to cycle as it would in normal usage and the way the treatment was installed. Our own tests have shown that the addition of Chillin/Cold-PlusTM in stages will decrease the effectiveness of the treatment. |
Residential - Older Unit:
Installations in over 500 residential locations have shown a decrease in KWH consumed of from 10-20%. Test data indicate a decrease in:
- amp draw
- minutes of operation per day
- temperature of supply air
- relative humidity
- noise level
|
Commercial Refrigeration - Older Units
The test results for older refrigeration units indicate the following:
-
Decreased amp draw
-
Decreased running times
-
Decrease in KWH consumption
-
Decrease in operating pressures
-
Decrease in operating temperatures
-
Increase in coolant flow rates
-
Increased cooling capacity
-
Decreased noise levels

Another key measurement is the amount of work done per KWH. In the case of a dairy it is the pounds of milk cooled from 85°F to 37°. The following charts show the effect of Chillin/Cold-PlusTM on the pounds of milk processed per KWH.
